Swiss Chard Quiche Recipe in Collaboration with El Nido Family Centers

Find more ways to help conserve around your home

El Nido Family Centers invited Save Our Water to participate in their culinary program. The students planted swiss chard in the garden and prepared the Quiche recipe with their harvest. You can find the recipe below. Swiss chard is a type of herbaceous plant that requires little water to thrive, so you can harvest it from your garden and add it to your dishes this spring and summer season.

This is the first of many recipes to come in collaboration with El Nido Family Centers, as they’re preparing to incorporate more drought-tolerant crops to their community garden, and the students will use the harvest to create delicious and healthy recipes.

Try the recipe and let us know what you think and if you have any recipes you’d like to see in the future that includes drought tolerant crops.
