Yet, following the driest three-year period in the state\u2019s recorded history, the new water year brings fresh concerns about a fourth year of extreme drought in California. By utilizing the tips Vitiello shares in the PSA, residents can properly care for their trees and sustain the vital benefits they provide \u2013 like cooling and cleaning the air and water, providing shade and protecting the public from extreme heat \u2013 while saving water.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to caring for trees, fall is also a good time to consider replacing lawns with waterwise plants.
